Stallone stated that if he had known that the Taliban was going to eventually become an ass-backwards, oppressive regime, he would have demanded changes to the plot to reflect a more indirect American involvement.

"I have decided to, you know, accelerate production of Rambo 4, and it will be an accurate portrayal of recent events," Stallone announced. "I cannot, you know, discuss specifics at this moment, but it will somehow involve Rambo, played by me, being air-dropped into the deserts of Afghanistan on a personal mission of vengeance against the Taliban regime."

"Rambo will confront several of his former friends from the third movie, and execute them for their treachery. There will also be lots of fire, because, you know, fire just works so well in action movies."

Rambo III:
"I would have killed fewer Soviets," Stallone said, outlining various elements of the movie he would alter if given the chance, "and I would have at least, you know, maimed a few Afghani freedom fighters. I think that would give the impression today of a more neutral stance during the 80's. Because, you know, no matter how much we feared the Soviets back then, we could at least be sure that they were equally afraid of us; with these Taliban fuckballs, you know, you just don't know."

Studio executives already announcing that they will be released a newer, updated version of Rambo III which features just that:- - fewer Soviet deaths and explosions, and more destruction of Afghani property. Several scenes in the upcoming DVD release have also been edited to show Rambo passing ration packets back-and-forth between himself and the Afghani people, rather than fully-loaded AK-47s.

The re-released theatrical version of E.T., in which FBI agents are now shown to be holding two-way radios rather than handguns.

;I’m listing to the top of the hour News on Air America now....sounds like a Dem-slanted ABC. Kind of like an NPR-lite.
:Yeah. Laura Flanders is coming up.
;I’m listening to her now. She reminds me of a tame Christian Amanpour (CBS). I don’t especially enjoy the content.
:There is nothing "Tame" about Laura Flanders.
;DMC interview, Cindy Sheehan promo. To me I feel for Miss Sheehan and admire her speaking her mind but think at this point she’s being used by the Anti-Bush movement. I’m leaving now...bored silly listening to the DMC guy.
:That would be D-N-C: Democratic NATIONAL Committee, or somthing. Don't waste you time on Laura. I like her because of the research she does. But I can see why you would say you don't like the content. You won't like the content of Al Franken Randy Rhodes or Jerry Springer, either.
;Al Franken. That might interest me. Randi Rhodes? Intriguing Jerry Springer..not so much.
;I’m listening to Randi Rhodes now...replay of 3/15/06 show. Opening about CSX and CFUS. I kind of enjoy her style, but yet again can feel the slant.
:Randi Rhodes has a slant?
;I think it’s important to follow the money and if she feels so strongly about it she would go hire a lawyer & levy a lawsuit. Go fight it out in court if you don’t like what you see. Personally, business transactions occur everyday (good and bad) and if anyone did something wrong (unlawful) they should be punished.
:Yeah, don't hold your breath.
;I’m still waiting for Enron end-game.
:Yeah, don't hold your breath.
;I go back to my position...I’m more middle-of-the-road than you give me credit for...they are all polititions bought & paid for. Doesn’t matter if a Donkey or Elephant.
:Empty rhetoric. You would HAVE to be more middle-of-the-road than I give you credit for.
;Hey! Let me clarify so there’s no misunderstanding. I listen to Rush Limbaugh, but I thought you might like to know I probably only listen to a TOTAL of 10 minutes tops of Rush. I listen to about ½ hour of NPR and about 20 minutes of a right-leaning morning show.
:And the rest of the time?
;The rest of the time I’m not fuming about "did you hear what they said?"
:Of couse not, you are "at one" with them.
;I think you’re overgeneralizing about people who listen to (insert Rush Limbaugh's name here). Not everyone is a blind ditto-head. I’m a blind Cramerica follower...BOOYA! I don’t spend my time surfing on the net and reading article after article.
:I do.
;Some people do...I don’t.
:What other media are you being brainwashed by?
;I like watching Stargate SG1. Sci-Fi Channel. CNBC with Jim Cramer (BOOYA!), MSNBC with Keith Olberman, and Fox News with Sheppard Smith (what a ballsy voice...just wish he could pronounce stuff once in awhile). Saturday Mornings are spent watching "Cost of Freedom Business Block" for about 3 hours. My favorite there is to listen to Wayne Rodgers (remember Trapper John?) either blatantly agreeing with the gay guy (Jonathon somebody) or telling him to shut up.
:"Cost of Freedom" sounds like Fox; in the way Fox wraps itself in the flag.
;Did I mention I like to listen to Cramer? I think he’s a Democrat...but can’t prove it because I don’t see any bias at all. How about you take a look at him and tell me what you think he is.
:I know you don't see any bia, that's why I worry about you. Last time I heard him, he was pushing GOP talking points on the economy.
;Really? Interesting you should say that.
:Isn't Olberman a "Bush Hater?" Why do you still watch him?
;I like his humor and feel like he’s not on anyone’s side other than tongue-in-cheek Poke Fun At It! I do not see him as a bush hater or bush basher. I see he speaks honestly and with conviction (did I also mention his humor?)
:Keith Olberman may save you yet. But you are saying you only get your news from a right wing morning show, Rush Limbaugh, MSNBC, and Fox?
;No those are just what I mentioned. On CSpan last night I happened to catch an interview with Mitt Romney of Massachusetts.
:Another Republican. Mighty Independent of you.
;Have you seen anything about him? He’s a Morman and a very good communicator. I don’t necessarily agree with his stance on all the patented right wing stuff like Abortion, Stem Cell Research, etc but I think he’s a more solid and honest guy than most.
:Of course you dissagree with those issues. Those are stances that don't follow the FOX/MSNBC/GOP doctrine. I don't think pro-choice nor legal Stem Cell Research have been a Republican stances for some time.
;Are you a Ted Kennedy fan?
:Of course.
;Have I asked you yet if you know who Jim Cramer is???
:Yes. Do you use this site at all? http://www.businessweek.com/
;No. Let’s clarify my view on the economy: I do not believe it’s a "booming" economy-instead you hit the nail on the head when you said people don’t feel they have the capital RIGHT NOW to spend. I think we’re on the verge of that becoming the case (dark before the dawn). That does not mean we’re in a carefree spending environment.
:I don't see how it could get much "darker." I'm very bullish about 2007, right now.
;Yes---this point we can agree upon. The DOW is at a 5-year high. It’s above 11,200 most days now. This (although only psychologically significant) fact proves SOMETHING is going right for awhile. Now we need a lot more.
:Huh?
;It’s the groundwork the Republicans lay then a switch to a Democrat Regime that makes the economy pop. Love either one of them or hate either one of them-we need them both. See why I’m more middle-of-the-road than you think I am?
:You're not middle of the road at all. You'll bash whoever your "news" sources tell you to: anyone not Republican.
;A true statement from me about my feelings on the economy would be it is improving slowly and solidly from a 2001 shock preceded by a dot-com crash of 2000.
:Apparently, you and I are always going to disagree on the start time of the Bush recession. But I would strongly encourage you to go to the library and read contemporary financial news from beginning with November 3, 2000 (the day after the election) until at least December 14, 2000 (two days after the election). Then skip a month to January, then skip to February. A Recession is defined as 2 or more successive quarters of 0 or lower GDP.
;Yes.
:According to http://money.howstuffworks.com/recession.htm, On November 26, 2001, the news media announced the United States was officially in a recession, and had been since March. March, February, January, December, November 2000. There's your 2 consecutive quarters.
;Recessions don’t occur the day after someone takes over the presidency.
:Of course not. People assume the Presidency in the beginning of the first quarter. Recessions are declared at the end of a quarter, Silly.
;I'm ignoring that.
:Lets get back to where you said it takes "a Democrat Regime that makes the economy pop." How do the Democrats make the economy pop?
;Republicans typically lay solid foundations-the big thick logs. Democrats are like kindling. There has to be a flip-flop of power every so often to make the match spark. This is a non-partisan observation. Too much of one party and you get nowhere.
:I have a hard time understanding you. You talk like Bush. It's like you never really say anything. What does this mean? => Republicans typically lay solid foundations-the big thick logs. Democrats are like kindling. Unless you're saying the Republicans are so bad for the economy that they bring everything down, then the Democrats come in and everything cycles up. Buy low, sell high. I'm suprised to hear you say that. But you still haven't explained how they do it. AND, if the Republicans are so bad for the economy, why do people like you vote for them?
;No-you didn’t get it at all. Republicans lay a "slowly but surely" growth pattern and Democrats go for the "burn twice as bright" theory. We’re going to have to have an agreement between the two of us to shelve our "slants" if we will continue this dialog productively.
:That still doesn't say anything.
;Your assertion that Republicans are Evil and Democrats are good is nonproductive, and untrue.
:So you are saying that the current class of Republicans are not evil and Democrats are bad. No, that's not partisan at all.
;It doesn’t matter what I say because you will never get it. You’re mired in "Republicans are evil and do nothing right".
:Dude, you brought up polical affiations, not me. I just asked why you did.
;You're a jackass.
